IFS in a 28-29 Dodge !! HELP!!!!!!!

I'm having a hard time locating an IFS for a 28 Dodge that I'm working on. According to some sites, (Heidts), the mustang II 's geometry will not work because the upper control arm must be shortened to clear fenders. Also, the rack must be located behind the crossmember, thus screwing up the original Ford design even more. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Dan

Check out Tex Smith's How to build Mopar Hot Rods.

Possibly something off a volare, aspen, diplomat may do the trick and it's a pretty complete unit. Tortion bars are in the k member.

The book tells how in general to put one of those in a car.

Good luck with it.

The Volare clip wont work with the older bodies because too much hangs out in front of the suspension centerline. Also, with having such large wheel openings, an OEM suspention like the volare or Nova wouldn't look to nice. Dan
