IFS for my poncho

Still trying to figure out how to overcome this problem, please help. You folks are the smart ones, I'm lost here, help!

I've got this 39 Pontiac, and want to put Heidt's or other IFS in. Problem is, there is a huge sucker bulge in my frame where the cross member would go. This bulge is where the stock springs sit. I figure, once I take all the stock parts off, this bulge is still going to be messing me up. I think it's going to stick out and interfere with the MS II "hat" thing where the new spring will sit. That whole area is jazzed up due to the round spring hole thing...

I'd hate to cut off the frame stubs and weld in Nova or other front frame rails etc... unless that's the only way to go.

Some of you guys have put in lots of these front end kits, please help me out a?! Thanks

R

PS Sorry for the new thread on the old subject, but I'm freakin out here!

Contact Heidts directly, 1-800-841-8188. I'm sure they've sold hundreds of late 30's Pontiac systems and they will definitely be able to answer your question.
