Question ignition switch question????

I'd like to install an ignition to bypass the key I mean you would still need the key but the switch would turn the engine over? any help would be great. Also what amp switch would i need?

Well if all you want is to be able to still turn the key to the on possition then hit a switch/button to turn over the car I would just disconnect the factory wire to the 'start' terminal of your starter solenoid. Run a wire from your fuse box that is 'hot' when the key is on, to a inline fuse (for safety), to a momentary on/off toggle switch or push button, then to your 'start' terminal on your starter solenoid. The solenoid itself doesn't draw that much current so you only need like 14-16 gauge wire and I would probably use a twenty amp inline fuse for safety. At any time you can easily revert her back to normal by simply disconnecting your wire to the solenoid and reconnecting the factory 'start' wire you disconnected.
