ignition switch removal problem
Hi Guys!
We're half way through a dash harness install and we've run into a problem with the ignition switch. Seems the previous owner of my 68 firebird buggered up the switch and we can't figure out how to remove it. I've tried the paper clip in the little hole and turn the key method and no go. So what should I try next? I'm thinking of taking a dremel tool to the nut, but don't know if that will free up the switch anyway. Anyone got any ideas? Jerry

ignition key removel
I may be wrong. But do you have to turn the key counterclockwise while pushing on the paper clip. There is a small brass pin w/spring that has to be released to disengage the lock....russ

I use a little tiny drill bit.
Push in the plunger with the key in the Accy pos, keep turning the key til almost horizontal---it should release Bryan
|
