I'm back, been to long

Hello all. Just got back on tonight and looked at my last post and to my surprise it has been awhile, like two years. Was traveling quite a bit with my job but that came to an end when the company was bought out and everyone was handed walking papers so I, after talking with wife decided to reopen my trim shop (upholstery) back up full time. As if that alone wasn't enough I finally acquired the McCutchen SC 427 Cobra replica tooling last Nov after chasing it for 6 years. McCutchen built the tooling and molds back in 1977 and built fifty cars from 1978 to 1983. I have been spending a lot of time re-engineering the suspension and making a few changes to the frame along with several other parts. This past weekend the wife decided that I should pull the 32 Bantam molds out of storage and add it to the kit list. Plans for it is to offer it with functional doors and maybe even a trunk even though it will only be big enough for a lunch bag . Stretch the nose out and lay the grille shell back with a raked hardtop. Just more work but a lot of fun. Anyways it is good to be back and hope to stop in a lot more often.

Welcome.
If you get a chance , you might put together a journal, so we can all check that out.
I am sure there are a few Cobra fans here.

This is a pic of the first Roadster McCutchen built in 1978. I am using the same molds and tooling. I will be keeping the 30 degree windshield and raked roof as he did. The second pic is of the first frame of the two that I am building now. It is only about half done in the pic.
