I'm confused

Sorry guys I'm really not sure what I have here. I turned in a Chevrolet 350 2 bolt as a core and recieved back a 307 block with 305 heads. Now if they bore the block .040 over like they say they do, and then the crank .010 under, what do I end up with? I dont think it is a 350! What does it sound like I got? (Besides jipped)

What do you end up with if you bore a 307 .040 over and the crank is undersized .010?

Sounds to like you got ripped. I would return it in a heartbeat and make sure I got an honest 350 in return.

all you will have is a 307 that is bored 40 over...might come out to something like 310 cubic inches? not sure..but it will probalby be low compression and with some stock 305 heads it will lack much in the performance department. if you can....demand a 350..since that is what you turned in.

I'd turn it in, demand my core back, and find another shop, because these guys are screwing you.

Well I got it fixed. They ordered me the four bolt main for no extra charge and took my two bolt as a core.

I'm glad you got it sorted out, and good on ya for the freebie . It's too bad you had to go through all this, just to get the right engine. It's that type of attemted screw job that gives all automotive professions a bad name.
