Just got my impala for my first car and project. Been working on the motor lately. The guy I bought it from sheered one of the bolts holding the carb on and I cant drill in the bolt to get the bolt out. So today I've been trying to take the intake manifold off. Solid car, everything was undercoated so the underside of the car is in great shape. Interior is fairly good, with new carpet and seats. The body is good, it has a few rust spots but there isn't a hint of bondo anywhere. Retired from the roads last year so I dont have to much to do to get it roadworthy. Bought it for $1600. ...had for 17 years but sold it now, 1967 Impala SS 396 convertible, 4 spd, ps, pb, pw. I built the original 396 with trw .030 12.5/1 , hyd cam 308/328 duration 500/505 lift, holley 800 mech spreadbore. Had other 58 Impala's but sold them over the years.

66 impala ss, still technically my dads car, but the title is already in my name. Has a bone stock 454 out of a pace arrow motor home complete with scored pistons, put in a little over 20 years ago, still going strong with an m-21 muncie and we just put a posi 12 bolt in it. Just need a series 3 carrier and we can put the 4.56 gears in it that are sitting in the garage.

not the prettiest, but its fun to drive, so far the best I got was an 8.98@75 mph in the 1/8 mile. Not too bad for an old worn out 454, even has the truck manifolds on it yet.

Parents have a 2007 Impala SS. 303 HP, but goes like ****. under 6 sec 0-60...for a full size family sedan.

that is awsome i love the missing headlight!!!! thats not to far away from what mine looked like when i started. good luck and enjoy
