importing a car into the US

i have had a bunch of people interested in buying my 33 plymouth from the US. unless the person came here to Canada in person, if they were to buy my car they would have to use a broker to handle the shipping and paperwork part of the transaction. i would not be allowed to ship it to them myself.
here are my questions...
have any of you guys used a broker before for this?
what does it cost?
does anyone know of a broker that would handle this for me, i'm just north of minnesota?
thanks

Yes, I had one shipped from Vancouver B.C. to the states in 2004. The boarder crossing was handled by UPS...yes THAT UPS. They really know their stuff and the crossing occurred without a hitch.

Contact UPS and they will get you all the forms that must be filled out and/or included (bill of sale, title etc.). Then you simply let UPS know when the car will be crossing the boarder and they will have an agent meet the car there and walk it through the process.

I think it cost me $125 (U.S.)...and worth every penny.

If you have any trouble reaching the right division of UPS, just shoot me a PM. I can rustle through my papers and probably come up with a contact person or phone number for you...although it may be outdated by now...I did mine over four years ago.
