independant rear suspension

I have a couple Jag independent rear suspensions, measuring aprox. 61.5 inches circa 1970. I'm not sure from what series they are from XKE OR WHAT? any feed back greatly appreaciated. Spero

I believe that all E-type Jags had knockoff wire wheels and the J-series sedans had bolt-on wire wheels. If the hubs are spined for knockoffs, E-type, if bolt flanged, J-series.

XJ6 series II or III

68 was the series I, early and mid 70s would be the Series II or III. Not much changed. They did my a positrac. The center differential can be changed out easy. I have a 1965 Jag with IRS and replaced it with a Series III, posi with 270 gears (did not want the Chev 350 winding at highway speeds).

The only shocks are the Koni coil over (4 of these at over $100 each add up). I saw another post here where someone was trying to fit air shocks.
