I want to put an independent rear suspension under my '48 Fleetline. Will a Thunderbird/Cougar fit my chasis if not, what will make the transition possible? I would like a ford 9" with disk if I can hang it in there. Also would like to know if someone can give me a ballpark figure to have the front suspension removed from the Fleetline and install a mustang ll. I am not physically able to unbolt and remove the unit and install the Stang, but I don't want to get ripped off by some slick wrench turner. I expect to pay $2000.+ - for the IFS.
