inexpensive 37 degree flaring tool

All- can someone recommend a inexpensive 37 degree flaring tool that will work on 3/16 stainless brake lines. I see them in the $50 range but they are not recommended for stainless. Thanks, 1930u

Shop around, I've seen the same tool for $80 elsewhere.

I have a RIGID 37* flare tool that has worked very nicely - and has done the SS brake lines on three cars so far with no visible wear. AMAZON has one for about $110 here

Those that work right are not cheap tools. Speedway has a cheap, Chinese made version and I did own one for about as long as it took to mess up 3-4 flares in carbon steel brake line material while making fit up lines for my current car.

I would recommend Rigid also, inexpensive flaring equipment works for crap, especially on stainless. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle and grief

The tool Dave linked to is the best flaring tool I've ever seen, and I've owned several different ones. The big difference on the Rigid tool is the way it rolls the flare into place instead of smashing it in like most other tools to. An added benefit of the rolling action is that it takes half the effort or less to twist the handle compared to the standard type tools. I've had the 45 degree version for over 20 yrs, and it still works like new.

Add me to the list of satisfied Rigid users. I did my s.s. brake system with it. No problems, probably last forever. Get the tool that works.....
