info about desoto hemi carb.

I have a hemi Carb I bought off ebay And don't know a thing about it the seller Said it came from a desoto It has #'s on it. also say's made by chrysler in detroit if this help's I don't know any thing about carb's in genral so any info would be good it's listed in classified. also he said it was the from the first production of the desoto hemi engine. any info would be great.

The numbers would help identify the carb,..............

the guy I bought it off of said that a tag on it identified it as a hemi the # on the tag wich is on the carb is (906s j2) the ### on the carb are 889 the other # are the pat. but yah i'AM a compalsive buyer and saw it and's like wow but it the end It just sit on the top of my computer.

I don't believe Chrysler made their own carbs, it is most likely a Carter. They were widely used by Mopar.

info about desoto hemi carb

There is certainly nothing magical nor even desirable about a Desoto hemi carb. Most of the Desotos were 2 barrel. There were a few 4 barrel motors and in 1958 the Adventurer had a dual 4 barrel 345 that made 345 HP. It probably didn't get 6 miles per gallon.
