i have a ford nine inch center section with these numbers

wdm-br 7dc

2 75 9 385a

these were on the tag on the rrear end i need to know what they mean thanks

I have the exact same rear end.

My tag reads ALMOST EXACTLY what yours does. Here is what mine reads.

WDM-BR 7CD
2.75 9 385A

The numbers mean:
  • WDM-BR "model series"
  • 7CD means when it was made C=March 7=Year (1977) D=4th week in March
  • 2.75 "axle ratio"
  • 9 "9 inch diameter gear"
  • 385A ????? my 460 is a "385 engine" maybe it means that???
