Info on Synthetic oil & gear oil

Hello,
I got a few question on an oil called amsoil oil and gear oil.
Has anyone ever used this type of synthetic or had any dealing with this company or type of oil before?
This is a 1996 Ford F-150 XLT truck, Electronic 4-speed auto. tran.with a 5.8 engine a 3.8 ratto limited slip real axale. What weight synthetic gear oil would be best?
I'm putting this one back like it came from the factory. That will take me a while.
Bad news on my part, I went to the Doctor the day I joined the group and found out that both my knees needed a full knee replacement, so starting July-29-06 they'll fix my left Knee and Sept.7- 06 they will do the right one. I'v been putting this off for awhile. But last month I had a bad fall and I could't walk real good and the pain is unreal.
I know it will slow me down a lot and hurt like the dickens. I just can't stand to live with the pain any longer. But thats life. At least I will have two new knees.
Thanks for any info
Kenny
