info on Transtar dtm primer

Has anyone used/have an opinion on Transtar euro classic 2k direct to metal primer. Their info states its a primer surfacer - high build easy sanding primer.
I am considering using this rather than etch/or epoxy on bare metal. I am in an area of the of the country where rust is not a big issue. This would be under a b/cc. Opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance.
