Post info on turbocharging engines

I am wanting to find out some info on adding a turbo onto a v8 engine. I did a search on this forum and found some good info and some sites that were referenced. Does anybody know of a good book on the subject, or any websites relating to the subject of turbocharging? I used to know of companies when I used to mess with Shelby Daytonas. I know some of the basics, I would like to learn more on the detailed info. I've seen a lot of references to turbocharging small blocks, but none on adding a turbo to a big block. I knew a guy that put a twin turbo on a 440 in a '79 Dodge step-side, but I haven't seen him in a couple of years. I am familiar with "Turbo" magazine, but I had stopped reading it years ago when all they did articles on was adding turbos to rice burners with less then 2.0s.

Any info on the subject of turbocharging v8s would be great.

I found it.
Go to www.egroups.com Then search for blowthruturbo. Its a turbo club that averages about 200+posts a month(225 this month so far), but they are good and can help you set up a turbo from other factory cars for real cheap. Very informative, check it out. HG

There are two books that should be regarded at the turbo freaks Bibles. "Turbochargers" by Hughe McInnes and "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. They will literally give you everything you need to build a setup. I would suggest reading them twice, because it will take the two times to absorb all the theory and information.

Also search for "jyturbo" on yahoo. It is a wealth of knowledge. But, BEWARE, dont go on there and ask uneducated questions like "what is the best turbo for a small block?" They will flame you out the door! Linger around the site for a month or two to get a feel for they guys. They are a very intelligent, but very grouchy bunch.
