when i bought my nova several years ago the guy that had it before me didnt have anything covering the engine internal parts from the wheel well opening in the engine bay. what are these things called? does anyone make molded/sheetmetal ones? i dont know how they go on... since the a-arms move. just a flap that lays over it? inner fender guard? inner splash guard? i cant find anything when i do a search btw, is for a 73 chevy nova.

I had the same issue with my Ranchero. Splash guards is as good a name as any. I finally bought a sheet of high-grade neoprene and made new ones. The original composition material was pretty poor, and the neoprene looks and feels a whole lot better.
