I made aluminum moldings, hammered on a leather bag with sand in it. I also used a shaped piece of wood clamped in a vise to finish hammering. Then I covered it with vinyl and used 2 oval head screws to attach each piece. I think they look like they belong there.

Plan on making each one twice.....the second one is always better.

You can easily anneal the aluminum sheet by blackening it lightly with raw acetylene then cook it off with a neutral flame. Be careful as the aluminum gives no warning before melting. Practice first.
