Install manual valve body - how hard?

I am considering a Cheetah manual valve body for my 727 transmission. What is required for the installation? Can it be done in the vehicle?

Thanks!

I do not know what must be done for a Cheeta valve body, but I do know that my valvebody can be installed with the tranny in the car. You do have to remove the cushion spring off the low reverse piston, but that is not any big deal.

yeah I just had the pleasure of doing this on a TH350. Luckily it was on a truck that sits pretty high up so I had a considerable amount of room to work.

Basically for me, it only involved dropping the pan (if you don't have a drain plug buy the kit now and install it this time).

Disconnecting the detent cable by pulling a pin out.

Removing about two billion bolts that fasten the valve body to the transmission body.

And finally when the valve body is ready to drop out, I had to disconnect the manual S link and ensure the piston didn't fly out of the bore. (I think that's what it's called)

Anyhow, took my newb-*** about 4 hours to install the shift kit.
