Install new fuel line in a 69 Chevelle
My original fuel line is 5/16 for a 305 small block. I want to upgrade to a 3/8 for a future big block conversion. Will the 305 run the same w/ the 3/8 hard line? Or will it get to much fuel?

With that 3/8 line installed for agruements sake would that support a 550hp/tq big block?

I ran 1/2 inch line for my small block.
Why would you even consider less? |

The bigger line won't hurt if you run it on a Small Block... I run 1/2'' on my big block cars even on a hot small block sometimes... I use 3/8'' a lot as well..The pump is only going to take what it needs..;)
I like the bigger line, Over having to small of a line, that way the pump always has enough fuel.. |
The 1/2 inch line is close to the same cost.I need to move a fair amount of fuel to the engine and needed an upgrade over stock. Your car needs over 200 pounds of fuel per hour delivered to your engine to feed your 550 horses

Install new fuel line in a 69 Chevelle
I use -8 an stainless steel braided line from the tank to the regulator in the engine compartment. This is on a big block 67 Camaro. The kit came with a 20 ft. roll of fuel line with all the fittings. You can use this 1/2 aluminum tubing without investing a fortune in a new fuel line.
