installing 2 amps

im thinking about adding another amp to my stereo system will my stock alternator handle them both its in a 96 monte carlo or will it burn it up

Should be able to handle it without a problem, unless your talking about running ungodly high power amps. I've been running 2 amps on my chevelle's externally regulated alternator without a problem (till I rolled it over)
