Installing a 4 Link Suspension

My name is Graham and i live in a small town outside of Toronto. My first car was a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am that i have owned for three years now and i am ready to start upgrading it. The car is in perfect condition and i maintain it very well.

The first thing i want to do is install a 4 link suspension setup but i don't really know where to start. I don't really have a lot of experience in installing a 4 link system, so i was just hoping someone could maybe give me some information to get me started, some tips, or maybe things to look out for, or if i should even attempt it with the experience i have. Also i was hoping to put wider tires at the back so any tips on how the two might work together or problems i might run into would be great.

Any knowledge on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Graham

Posting a suspension question in the Suspension forum would be a better start than the Trans./Rear forum. I moved it for you.
