Installing 9" Ford in 68' Camaro

I have a 68' Camaro w/BB and currently a 10 posi unit. Just purchased a Currie 9" that has been narrowed 13" and has 4 link brackets and shock mounts welded in place. Do I need to install the 4 link rear frame rails or can I skip the 4 link and go with just coil overs?

Never tried switching rearends before, am I in over my head or is it easier than everyone says. Also, need disc brakes to install.

Any help out there?

Jim

Is the car leaf spring right now? If so, then adding a four link will be pretty involved. Hope you like welding and fabricating. Is the car mini-tubbed?

i have seen some heavy cars run really fast using Caltracs, or Slide-a-Links I think (with leaf springs in stock locations).

Installing 9" Ford in 68' Camaro

Actually, I just installed new multi leaf springs last summer to lower the car two inches. I have less than 200 hundred miles on them. I don't have a problem with traction as I'm running a TCI Street Fighter torque converter w/3000-3500 stall speed.

When I said its 13" narrowed I should have said its 13" shorter than my 10 bolt. Not tubbed yet but that was going to happen anyway. Don't have a back seat, its all custom aluminum that a freind and I did last year.
