Post Installing frame ties on GM uni-bodies

I have a 73 chev nova set up for bracket racing
and I would like to install frame ties to tighten
up the frame, but with the headers and trans pan
I only have about 12 inches on the end of the frame to install the ties on. Does it matter where on the frame the ties are installed? do
you recommend alum frame bushings??

any help out there???

tie the frame in at the front of the rear spring hangers (perches), use box tubing off the rear of the sub. the aluminum frame mounts will keep everything stiff and straight. the body will develop strange cracks if you don't.
