installing a manual choke

I've just recently purchased a 1975 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special and want to install a manual choke on the truck. I'm a set builder, not a mechanic, and would love some help as to where to start. The engine is a 360, the carb is a Holley. I believe everything is as it was when it was driven off of the lot. In my first attempt at fixing the carburetor, I lit the engine on fire, but the truck still runs. At this point the choke has been disabled.... Can anyone help? Anyone? Anyone?

welcome..............Moving this to the engine forum..........Chances are, if the choke was disabled before the fire, that's what caused it.

Putting a manual choke on is pretty basic....the kit well have instructions with it.
