"installing a power valve check ball kit in Holley carb"

Got a blown power valve in a pre '92 Holley 4160 carb and am thinking about putting in the check ball kit to prevent future blown valves. Anyone done one and had good luck with it preventing another blown valve in a backfire incident?

Thanks,

Joe D

I have been using the Spectre power valve saver #2408 if you go to there site they have the instructions there for you to look at. It is pretty easy to install. http://www.spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG.2408
hope this helps. Steven
