Installing Power Windows and Locks

Is it possible to install power windows and locks from my 1984 GMC to my 1982 GMC. The 82 does not currently have power windows or locks. I am wondering if it is possible to do so without rewiring almost the whole truck.

Are you changing the doors or removing everything
from one door & putting it in the other, not that it
matters I was just wondering, as for getting it wired
it's not difficult, you have everything you need, trace
the wiring & draw a schematic for yourself (in-case you become confused or forget) before taking it apart.
Good luck,

I think the basic electrical system was the same from about 79-87 on these trucks. An 84 and 82 should be just about identical.

You should be able to transfer everything over from one truck to the other. I don't know if the non-power truck has the flexible tubes that run from the door to the door frame. You need this tube to run the wires to the door, so you might have to move it over. You will also need the door panels and switches from the donor truck.
