Installing Rack and Pinion on 70 Camaro
I have a 70 camaro small block with PS. I want to eliminate the PS completels. Mostly to eliminate the weight and the pump. How much trouble is it to install one of the aftermarket rack and pinion steerings I see all over National Dragster?
What other issues will I have to conted with other than mounting the rack and pinion onto the car? Steering Column? Old steering box? Tie rods? RB |

Bumpsteer and alignment will be the biggies..getting that part right is vital..

I would be concerned that the rack and pinion would NOT be strong enough for street use.....Make sure the parts are street friendly.......not just weight saving " Race Only " stuff.....
