Dump a quart of fluid in the converter and make sure you put in a few quarts in the transmission before starting it. Top it off as soon as you can.

I noticed your forum name, "39chevy", I assume you have one...this may not be the correct place to ask the question but, we are having a little fun on another thread involving the grill of a 39. If you have a 39, could you please tell me if it has a stamped steel grill or a pot metal grill.

Another member and I have been eating a steady diet of crow...would love it if your grill was Pot metal...LOL

Thanks

Ray

If you want to have some fun with 69 widetrack, just tell him that your grill is half pot metal and half pressed steel lol! Sorry, couldn't resist.

Thanks for the reply...I know I'm pulling at straws here but a couple of weeks ago I would have bet my life that Chevy made a pot metal grill in 38 and 39...if I would have, I know I'd be dead today...LOL.

So, the emblem is pot metal...I'll probably just have to go with that...LOL
