Insulation Adhesive

I've cut and installed some aluminum double sided insulation in the car and have already bought some Permatex Heavy Duty Headliner and Carpet Adhesive, part # 27828. Thought I'd run it by you guys and see if anyone has any thoughts on this

I just use premium non-hardening panel adhesive in the big caulking type tubes from Home Depot. Sticks permanently, easy to apply with a caulking gun and CHEAP!
