OK...call me nuts but on my Outlaw sedan I've been thinking about this stuff for the roof and sides. Not so much for doors for obvious reasons. This stuff would never fall from the roof and would be great sound deadening material. Pvc pipe for wires would be in place before spraying. Fairly easy to trim after drying.
If you use this, be very careful spraying it into any confined area - the foam expands, obvious when you first spray it, but also not so obviously as it cures. In a closed-in area it can generate a good amount of pressure - enough to push panels out of shape. Check the label on the foam you use for flammability.
Lizardskin would work well and never come loose. They have two varieties - thermal and sound control - they can be used together. Also, it's not solvent-based so there should be no reaction between it and the fiberglass.
