intak in the way of the vac advance
ok trying to set the timing and cant get to the 10 to 12 mark due to the vac advance canister hitting the intake runner can any one help me please car is a nova, engine is a 350, intake is a summit stage 3 intake, dizzy is stock gm hei and the instructions said works with hei what am i missing here.

setting timing
move each plug wire to the next socket on the dizzy going in a counter clockwise rotation. this will advance the timing. you may have to turn dizzy in a clock wise direction to retard timing a bit to get motor to start. then use light again.

The Distributor can be installed in any position needed. Just make sure the Plug wires & Rotor are aligned correctly. Use a long Screwdriver to align the Oil Pump driveshaft.
