Intake for Dart Pro 1 230's.

I've got Pro 1 230's on a little M 427. I tried a Torker II intake and the head ports were above the intake flange. What intakes are you guys running with these heads? Are there any duel plan manifolds that match up with the head ports or at least have a tall enough flange on them to cover up the ports? I'm trying to keep low for hood clearance.

For that size port a victor jr will probably be a good bet, with 427 cubes a single plane will probably do just fine. What gaskets match your ports? 1205 or 1206?

I'm looking for a duel plane for hood clearance. If I have to run a single I'll just go with the Dart. Does anyone have experiance with fitting a duel plane on the 230's?

Hey,

The Weiand Team G is offered in a couple of different versions. Mine has a plenum spacer cast in, but they offer others. I dont' think they are really any taller overall than the dual planes. I like my Team G pretty well. Seems to be pretty decent distribution.

WIth that many cubes and 230s you would want a single plane I think. I use a Team G with my 230s and it worked out well. I also use 1206 gaskets, they fit the best. Had 1207's and they are HUGE. No need, and they are questionable around the ports as the intake sometimes will hardly cover it seems.

Holley Contender 300-36 fits but should be ported plus I had to trim the 1206 gaskets.
My old 60's cross ram fit also but needed to be ported/gasket matched also.
You may want to read Car Craft Sept 07 issue, it has dyno results with a single plane vs dual plane. Like I said for years, both the same flow.
Did you install longer push rods ?

My push rods are 7.850.

After porting are the runners on the Holley Contender 300-36 the same size as the ports on the 230's or are they still smaller?
