Has anyone used the BG Six shooter 3 deuce setup on there SBC Vortec head motor? My issue is the Fel Pro 1255 fits the head perfectly but does not fit the intake very well. If I trim the gasket to fit the intake manifold it makes for thin material at the head. I have called BG Tech, who says the Fel Pro 1255 is the one the recommend all the time but I am not crazy about its fit. Any suggestions from users on what they have done to address this? Has BG changed there SBC Vortec head since it was put on market place? The folks at BG are matter of fact about stuff and I truthfully do not feel comfortable talking with them. Must be me? Also, where and what gasket sealant have you used and placed where on intake gasket. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I do not have a six shooter intake but,,,

The felpro MS98000T factory replacement gasket set should work for you. It is a little on the pricey side but considering that they are reusable, steel core, .120 thick, placement pins for perfect alignment, and seal as good or better than any other vortec head gasket you can't go wrong. I had issues with aluminum intake (performer EPS) seal when I did my vortec head swap. I switched to the 98000 and have had no issues since. I have had the intake off a couple times and reused them without any issue as well. They come in a kit along with some other gaskets you may not need. If you know your parts guy maybe he will let you take one out of the box for an intake manifold test fit on the bench. I think I payed 75 bucks for the set but thats a small price considering that they get the job done again and again.
