intake and heads chevy sb bolt holes
i have a 350 that i put a edelbrock intake on today i had to modify the intakes 4 center bolt holes because the bolt hols on the heads where not at as great of an angle as the rest. my only question is. is this normal the bolt holes dont seem to be modified and i noticed that the prior owner had to do the same thing to the old iron intake that was on it.

Sounds like you are trying to install an old style intake on a set of later model heads. The 87-95 TBI heads have the 4 center threaded holes angled more upward. Check the casting # on the heads..they are probably the "193" swirl port castings or simular.
