Intake interchangable?

Hello. Does anyone know if a tbi intake off of 94 chevy 350 will fit the older 70s 400?

Not without modification. Easiest is to find a 4bbl- TBI adapter off of a 454 or a Holley replacement and use whatever intake you have that fits

Where can I get the adaptor for that conversion? I looked on summit and all they have is the complete setup that cost like 1500 to 2 k.

Factory TBI's had the adapter. so you could go to the junkyard or the GM parts counter for the factory part

Otherwise Trans-Dapt makes a number of TBI adapters. Here is 1 for a Q-jet manifold http://www.amazon.com/Trans-Dapt-220.../dp/B000CQ20PK

Some are also sold under the Holley name

Thanks I appreciate it. Im just hoping my f.i. Will be enough for the engine im getting. It has flat topped pistons ported and polished 400 heads and a cam thats a lil bit mor agressive than an rv cam. If it wont I guess ill have to run a carb..

The only difference is the angle of the middle intake bolts going into the head.

The 400 heads will need all the bolts to be at the same angle, and the TBI intake will have the center bolts on each side more perpendicular.

They can be carefully enlarged to allow the bolt to match the angle of the front and rear intake bolts.

The '94 TBI intake should be aluminum making it easy to mod with a drill bit.
