Question intake manifold

i installed new gaskets to the manifold.the gaskets came with air restrictors.one for each gasket.the cover one of the ports on each gasket.i didnt use them.im wondering what they are for.and if i should have used them on my chevy 327 eng? eng has a 650 cc holly carb.headers.simi hight rise manifold.

Cool

They were for the heat passage that warms your carburetor so the fuel will vaporise in cold weather. Most of us use them, but you didn't kill your car leaving them out.

It's a Chevrolet, so you'll be back in it soon enough and you can cure the problem then.
