Intake water outlet fitting removal

Hey guys,

I have two water outlet fittings rusted in my aluminum intake. I've been soaking them for a week with PB Blaster but they won't budge. Can I heat them up without hurting the intake integrity? If yes do I heat the fittings themselves or where they enter the intake? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Heat and cool...repeat

I have had the same problem and I heated both, the aluminum has a high expansion coefficient so it will expand more. Anyway heat is up let it cool 2-3 times and it should release some of its grip on the steel fitting.

The only caution is that unlike steel which changes colour when heated the aluminum will liquefy all of a sudden if heated too hot and then your manifold is ruined.
