Interior aluminum molding/trim
Several of the cars I see in the magazines are using a narrow aluminum trim piece on the doors and sometimes in the trunks for their featured cars.
Where can I buy this molding? My local upholstery distributor does not carry it. I imagine is comes in 4 or 6 foot lengths and must be cut to fit the application but finding the material is proving to be a challenge.

Try some non-traditional sources such as hdwre stores and such as most likely that sort of trim may have come from something like that..

Here's another option: Order Aluminum 6101 Rectangle in Small Quantities at OnlineMetals.com You'll have to fabricate your own strips, including polishing them, but they're not $20 a foot either.

Thanks to all of you that answered by question. What I am looking for was provided by Dan. I will buy some of that aluminum and bend it to fit.

I forgot to mention, when you order the aluminum, order the 6063 aluminum. It is smoother and polishes up better than the rest.
