interior door handles, Autoloc or Lokar?

Shaving the door handles on my 36 Chevy sedan and was wondering if anyone had opinions about or experience with the autoloc billet inner door handles or the more expensive Lokar (almost twice as much) Need to decide and would like to know if the autoloc handles are ok.
Thanks

Jeff

Jeff I maybe shouldn't answer this as I have not used either, But if it is just the wire to the latch I would think either would work. I have a lot of Lokar stuff on both my cars, and have had no trouble with anything. On my 33 I don't have door handles in or out, they are fob controlled with a wire in case of loss of power both in and out.
Do you have the stock latches, or bear claws if bear claws I would say either.

I know the Lokar stuff is good, but I am leaning toward the cheaper autoloc billet setup. Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with them. I am using bearclaw latches and solenoids, just kind of think I want interior handles as well.
Thanks,

Jeff

As an upholsterer and as a designer/manufacturer of interior billet parts, most of Autoloc's billet stuff is NOT billet. Most of the stuff they sell as "billet" are not machined aluminum parts, they are polished cast parts. This does not mean their parts are unreliable, but they are not near as shiny as polished 6061 machined aluminum parts like Lokar's handles. You will be able to tell the difference with them sitting side by side, but once they are installed, most people will not be able to tell the difference.

Although I have never used their billet inside door handles, I have had a lot of experience with Autoloc's electronic products such as keyless entry/remote systems, and power antennas. All of my experiences with Autoloc have been negative. IMO, it's cheap crap.

Good Luck....

Autoloc is local to me. I have been to their showroom to pick up items purchased from a local distributor. All of the stuff I have bought from them has left a lot to be desired. The people at their office/showroom weren't friendly, helpful or very knowledgeable in my opinion. Their stuff seems to be re-branded products from China that are available elsewhere for less. I'm not personally a fan of them.
