Interior metal floor edge against interior body
I have a Ford Panel trk. that uses 3/4 plywood for flooring. From the edge of the floor to the interior outer skin it has metal that fills that area. The metal is broke at a 90 degree that meets the inside outer body. The original product looked like some kind of felt to fill that void. This must have held alot of moisture. Rusted out from the back of doors to rear wheels and then onto the rear doors. I was wondering what i should use this day that would work the best ? Thank you all for your input, Marc
First you are probably up for some metal replacement but we know that..when you get the metal replaced apply a couple of wet coats of epoxy primer and then in the areas where it looks like water may get in like seams and such use a seam sealer to fill those voids..i would think that would do it for you..the felt looking stuff may be dried up old sealer that was applied when the truck was built..
