Post Internal vs External

I have a stock GM HEI distributor, and plan to install a MSD 6AL ignition, and cap, rotor. Should I go with an internal coil and module, or use an external coil ? What's better and why? Thanks in advance for any info. Car runs the 1/4 -108mph @12.6 with street tires.

Thumbs up

I would go with the external coil, the MSD Blaster 3 power tower. I have had problems with the internal MSD and Accel,a little more $ to do this but worth the money.

Red face

Thanks Roys63. I'm kinda disappointed you were the only reply I got, but everyone I've talked to says external is the way to go due to the heat factor. I hope their all right, it's a lot of $$$ to set up.

Dollybud, in general if you receive only one reply the consensus is that answer is the correct one, many do as I do and don't reply if someone else has answered the question correctly.
