Hi,I'm Doug.I'm 50,Retired living in S.E.Ohio.Finally posted the intro so I don't get the post an intro message I always get on this site.I am building a modified T-bucket from frame up.So far I have made the skeleton of the bucket from strap steel, and have the front end hung on it,I am trying to make everything I can from scratch.I do alot of fabrication so if you have a question about welding and fabrication, feel free to ask,I will do my best to help anyone I can.
PS.I posted on the journal page will ad pix as I progress

Welcome to the site macloudd. That sounds like a great project that should be documented in the Project Journals. Please start one so we can see where you are at and follow along with the build. There is a lot of interest as you have probably noticed in building your own frame and several members are thinking about building there own bodies or at least using original cowls and building the rest. This would be a perfect project for them to be able to follow. Good luck with the build.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like it will be quite swoopy. I think that modified T tub/bucket is going to be very interesting. Did I understand you right that it will be a Woodie? Will the body be all wood or?

I am going to form birch plywood over the skeleton, then finish it in mahogany, and trim it out with blond finish birch wood. Its going to be real interesting when I have to soak and form the trim.
