Hello fellow HotRodders:
I'm new here and this is my first post. I just wanted to introduce myself and get to know some people on this forum. I am 15 years old and I live in Winnipeg, Canada. I've always been interested in classic cars but in the last 2 years I really got into hotrodding. I dont have a rod yet (hence I'm 15) but I am workin on a barstool racer, a mini chopper bike and a go-kart. The go-kart is gonna be powered by a 340cc snowmobile engine and for the barstool racer and the minibike chopper I have 3hp engines. In the summer I might be purchasing a 1938 Plymouth (sitting in the field) for 400 bucks. I'd like to restore it. So that's basically me, I hope I can learn lots on this site. Mike |

wlecome to the board man
let me be the first to say this .... put wheelie bars and extra wide "training wheels" on the barstool and use the 340cc engine on THAT instead or get a 3 sped lawnmower differential and make the minichoper REAL bad *** ... with a suicide shifter on it ! just an idea ... Nick |

I wish I could put the 340cc on the barstool racer but I tell ya right now, that thing has 32hp, is a 2 stroke and vibrates like crazy. My barstool racer frame would have to be made out of 4 inch steel tubes...lol.........but don't worry, my go-kart will have a hydraulic differential (4 gear?) in the back that's pulley driven. I got the diff for free (I think it comes out of a lawnmoer tractor, not sure). For the chopper I'm still looking for a motorcycle gearbox, and if I find one you bet it's gonna have a suicide shifter. Thanks a lot guys
If you have anny other ideas of suggestions that would be great MIke |
