Hi Baddbob, thanks glad you liked it, I painted it with PPG's DBC.

I’m really glad I found this forum, looks like you guys know what your talking about, and that’s HARD to find in the world of cyberspace, it seems most of it should be called cyberjunk, lol.

I’ll ask with confidence here I think!

Rick.

Thank you! Magnus_Jager, I’m hoping to somewhat specialize only in REAL flame art, and maybe some day the right person might see um because the down time of self employment sucks . Here’s a picture of my mailbox I started painting yesterday and put back up today, just thought Sunday know one would miss it, lol. All done with PPG’s DBC with 2021 clear.

Rick.

Great mailbox........................hope it sets all you bills on fire, and with 8 kids, I bet you have bills....................

Question on the flames....Is that style done with tape, or freehand (airbrush), or a combination of both?

thank you Poncho62.

Bill's what are those? lol.

Freehand and Freehand shields only, I NEVER use tape for any of the flames, i did the mailbox in about 1hr total from start to finish.

And believe it or not I’ve only been airbrush flames for 3 months now, just natural I guess, I’m wondering were I’ll be at next year, hopefully it don’t ever burst into real fire, could get expressive, lol.

definitly a natural if i had talent like that id be rich! i cant draw a stick figure without a straight edge
do you draw other stuff ?
the reason i ask is because i had receive a calender(from DuPont) along time ago and someone had to point out that the cars were drawings, not photos (before everyone had a pc in their face) they all had a tell like a little spot that made you know it was a drawing .
anyway wow nice stuff ,
and yea this place is awesome its a high class operation
glad to have ya hea!

Well to be quite honest I never really did much art before I used to draw faces and abstract line art and I can still draw awesome eyes but that’s about the extent of it, now my daughter on the other hand she can do some really nice Celtic art it’s funny she didn’t even know it was Celtic until I saw it and about crapped, her lining style is just like the ancient Celts I mean you really couldn’t tell the difference from her work and the real thing, I guess she comes by her surname of O’Neal honestly, lol. I’ve got her doing some designs now and I’m planning on teaching her how to cut um out and airbrush um, teamwork is what I’m thinking, and I’d be happy even if it just help’s pay the mortgage.
Because Greed is only for those who can afford it and I’m not one of um, lol.

http://airbrushguy.com/gallery/index.php

This is a local guy like yourself that can not draw a straight line with a pencil but give him an airbrush and he go's to town.

You have to have some kind of artistic ability to airbrush and you guy's ARE talented.

Welcome, and those really are nice flames. I have never liked that style being a traditional flame lover, but those REALLY look good.

I have said it before, thank God for the artist, life would sure be boring without them.
