I forgot to mention in my previous post that a great source of information is your public library. As well using a search engine on this site and/or the internet will get you tons more information.

You may also want to look into one of the textbooks they use for autobody classes at the tech schools. I think mine was from Motor. Depends on what you are looking for information on. The textbooks aren't going to really talk much about custom painting and stuff like that, but they will cover things you would normally run into in the collision industry. Things such as urethane bumper repairs, indentifying plastic, how various panels are typically installed, adhesives, types of steel like high strength low alloy (HSLA), fiberglass and aluminum, proper way of fixing dents by identifing how it was damaged and the best way to correct. Whole bunch of junk like that. But I got to tell you, A broad range of topics have been covered here on this site if you do a search, as well as little tips people have picked up over the years that they won't really say anything about in a book, and most questions asked get answered here. Only difference is there is not many pictures showing steps on various things like in a book where they will have an illustration or a picture or two or how you can watch them do something like in a video. I guess a combination of reading and asking here, a book or video or two, and most important but digging in and doing what you are trying to accomplish is the best way to learn, even if it means you mess up a time or two.
