Invisible tail lights

I read an article a few months ago where they made the tail lights invisible when not lit. They blended right in with the body. I thought it was really cool but i cant seem to find anything about it. Anyone seen this before?

I was at a Goodguys show and a guy had a Henry J that was one fine machine. I was looking at it and it was a street legal car but could not see tail lights. So I ask the owner, what the heck is with no tail lights and he explained that he molded them out of plexiglass and painted same as car and that when the lights came on they would show thru the paint. If I got real close you could see them behind the paint. Yes it was slick.
