Isuzu Power Steering box in 49-51 Mercs

I was told that a Isuzu power steering box could be used on a 1949 to 1951 Mercury to add power steering. I was also told that there had been an article in Custom Rodder Magazine which covered the conversion and that Jamco sells the parts needed to do the installation. He didn't know what year unit the steering box was so I e-mailed both Jamco and Custom Rodder Magazine, but I did not get a response from either. I tried several e-mail but never received an answer. Has anyone on this forum seen the article, and if so, does it mention what year the Isuzu power steering box was? Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance --John

Here is a phone number for Jamco.
951.549.1441

They relocated to Socal after Jim Genty died.

The number was supposed to be good as of last October.

Here is a link to the cached article from jan 07 custom rodder magazine..
