It's Been Awhile.....
Wow!! Big update time.I hope every one is doing well.Alot has happened in the time since I last logged in.Dropped a nice piece of metal down into #5 of the Malibu,split the cylinder wall,did not damage the rods,so I sleeved the block and did a few other things to the SBC.Spent another $3500.00 on it in the process.I am also recovering from surgery to repair an artery that was being squeezed togather in my left wrist,causing blood loss to it and doing all kinds of bad things to me as far as pain and numbness are concerned.The shop is not rolling in dough yet,but we continue to have fun,and have quite a few irons in the fire right now.
The Malibu is about to have the body removed,allowing all new suspension bushings to go in andalso to do some frame repairs and install the 9" that is finally going in.I ran it a few weeks ago just for a baseline.The pathetic 7.5 rear end limited it to a best of 9.73.The motor still was pulling all the way up past 6000 RPM's but the rearend just did not have it in it.Also got a nice deal offered on a 502 crate motor.We are getting it,just calculating the cost to install it in place of the SBC.I need headers for the BB,plus the TH350 will not hold it's guts with that much HP behind it. Will be on for awhile and checking in some.Looking on other sites for some goodies for the new car.I bought the wife an '02 Pontiac Grand Prix for Mothers Day,and she wants a ew toys for it.Also have the SHO back on the road with the 2nd new clutch in 3 years.Hope I do not have to do that anytime soon again.

Good to here from ya again. Bad wrist from all that polishing? Your mamma told you that is what would happen when you have too many knobs to polish. LOL!! Hope to here more out of you while recouping.Kevin
