I've always been wondering this

I've always been verrrry curious to know what type of music everyone listens to on this site since a lot of you have seen "trend" music come and go. Anyway, I'll go ahead and post some bands to give you guys an idea of the music that I'm really into. Go ahead and post your bands, have no fear

Iron Maiden(most important, very inspirational band for me )
Led Zepplin
old Metallica
Pink Floyd
Alice Cooper
Jimi Hendrix
Ronnie James Dio
Ozzy
Queen
Guns n Roses
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Faith No More
Van Halen
Judas Priest

~I know you guys will be devastated that I didn't put rap up there . That's the only music I have no respect for, unless your talking about the old school rap where they don't constantly sing about "bling" and how many "hoes" they can get. I'm very interested to see what some of you guys post, esp some of the older members here since some grew up with the music I listen to today.

Right now I have 5 Cd's in my car.
"Driveby Spanish."

The idea is you listen to this crap while you drive and its so simple!!!!
In 30 days I have mastered one word.

"Uno"
That means one for you that are not as educated.

I'm ready to take the Cd's out and put my country tapes back in!

5 singers/ bands I don't get sick of:

Neil Young
The Doors
Massive Attack
Hendrix
Beatles

Any 50's and 60's Space age lounge music, like The Three Suns. (Bearshare it) I love it. Puts me in the frame of mind of my cars' era. But my woman calls it "dead people music".

I guess my favorites are;
Credence Clearwater Revival
Doors
Three dog night
Rolling Stones
Fleetwood mac
ABBA
And several others from the 60's and 70's. Yea I know, I'm still in the 60's and 70's and I plan on staying there with what I listen to in the garage. Country even grows on ya' when the wife listens mostly to it. Of course my favorite in country is Shania Twain, I wonder why.

Oooo, getting some good band posts lately . Quite a few Beatles and Rolling Stones fans, who could deny their greatness . Keep the band posts comin all. Glad to here that someone agrees with me about rap

i don't listen to the radio anymore; i'm not against radio, i just don't listen to it anymore because i listen to nothing but podcasts.

As far as music, i don't really listen to music anymore per se; i'm not against music, i just don't listen to music anymore because i listen to nothing but podcasts. Any music that i do listen to is discovered on the podcasts:

Example, i found out about this on the RISK podcast:

When I'm driving, I prefer the sound of my car to ANY music

In the shop - even tho I have an old stereo in there, I just never seem to remember to turn it on

Absolutely the only inspirational music for car guys is Spike Jones. His music always sets the tempo for deep thinking and creativity. For those of you who are not familiar with Spike's melodies here is a sample.

I like classic rock the best

Journey
jefferson starship
James taylor
Billy Joel
Pink Floyd
Micheal Jackson
Chicago
Rush
Beegees
Queen

...when music was music.

I also like The Beatles and if you're a fan you outta check out their rehearsels on youtube, especially the song "black bird" with Mc Cartney pretty much tap dancing and humming the song in his head...amazing!
